
On June 3-4, Louroe participated in the SIA Government Summit in Washington, D.C. The event, chaired by Louroe’s own CEO Richard Brent, brought together all facets of the security industry to communicate with government professionals including the Department of Homeland Security, Commerce Department, GSA, and key Congressional advisors. The event was highlighted by keynote addresses by Dr. Reginald Brothers, the Undersecretary for Science and Technology at DHS, and Senator Dan Coats of Indiana. Louroe’s involvement in the event highlighted a broader trend for integrating multiple technologies to provide for a more robust and complete security system.

On June 8-9, Richard Brent participated in the U.S. – Mexico CEO Dialogue held by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The event included discussions on how American companies, especially manufacturers, can increase competitiveness by optimizing cross border trade, as well as working groups to strategize how to capitalize on growth opportunities. Richard received an invitation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to share his insights from the perspective of American small and medium sized business.
